Event campaigns
Illumina Event Marketing
ART DIRECTION / CREATIVE DIRECTION
I came up with concepts for integrated marketing campaigns for several events and product launches at Illumina. I also led the creative effort to define new booth designs for trade shows, to be used across events and regions.
The European Society of Human Genetics
One goal for this event was to come up with a high-level concept that would resonate with the target audience of researchers and clinical professionals. There was also a challenge to come up with a distinctive, on-brand look-and-feel for the event. My solution was to come up with a concept using light and hinting at DNA strands in a fresh way that had never been seen before in the industry.
European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases
For the concept for this event, I convinced the stakeholders to do away with previous years' visual cliches of microbes and the like. And instead go with this bolder, fresher approach where microbes are merely hinted at in an abstract and animated form. I also came up with the headline and designed various activations.
Animation concept for social media
Innovation Day
I led the creative for this very low budget, very quick-turn project. I came up with the concepts and theme, envisioned and designed a simple way for audiences to engage with our booth and provide us audience insights, and created program ads and other event activations. The result was a big success.
DNA Day
I came up with the concepts and designs, leading through execution, to raise brand awareness for Illumina for the general public on DNA Day.
International Congress for Human Genetics
For this event, we needed to come up with creative concepts that highlighted the vast ethnic diversity of Africa. In partnership with a senior writer, I came up with multiple concepts (as always), one of which is shown below. The idea was that Illumina was accelerating access for all, and having more data across a greater diversity of people would better enable us to change the landscapes of medicine and the environment in Africa and across the world.
